Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy Statement

John Morley (Importers) Limited is committed to driving out acts of modern day slavery from within its own business and that from within its supply chains. John Morley recognises its moral and legal responsibility to the Modern Slavery and human trafficking and will endeavour to ensure that no such activities arise within our operations by ensuring transparency within the organisation and with suppliers of goods and services to the organisation.

A review of controls undertaken by the supplier will be incorporated in the supplier approval processes. Imported produce from sources from outside of the UK and EU are potentially more at risk for slavery / human trafficking issues. The level of management control required for these sources will be continually monitored.

It is the policy of John Morley to ensure the following;

  • John Morley will not support or deal with any business knowingly involved in slavery or human trafficking.
  • Resources and investment to ensure that slavery and human trafficking is not taking place within the organisation and its supply chain will be dedicated to this.
  • Only approved suppliers and contractors are to be appointed to carry out works and re-assessed accordingly.
  • Identify and assess potential risk areas in our supply chain.

To ensure a high level of understanding of the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking in our supply chain and our business, providing ongoing training to relevant personnel.

Continual Improvement

John Morley’s business ethics is supported by the measurement of our performance by both internal and external auditing and reporting. Additionally, management will periodically review this policy and will dos so especially in the event of any major organisational changes, new legislation or serious breaches of the policy.
